- 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th Grade Boys interested in trying out for basketball, please stop by the office to sign up. The tryouts for 5th Grade Boys will be on 10/8/26 after school in the North gym and 6th Grade Boys will be on 10/9/26 after school in the North Gym. The tryouts for 7th & 8th will be on 10/6 from 5:00-7:00 in the North Gym. You must have a current physical on file BEFORE tryouts.
- Warriors, it’s almost time to DANCE! Don’t miss our Back to School Dance (6th-8th grade) on Friday, September 25th, from 7:00–8:30 PM in the North Gym! THREE attendance prizes will be given away! You’ve gotta be there to win! See you September 25th, Warriors! Don’t miss it!
- 8th Grade Honor Society: There will be a meeting in Mrs. Leemon's room Thursday 9/17 during recess. Please bring your Chromebooks.
- 7th Grade Honor Society: There will be a meeting in Mrs. Leemon’s room Monday 9/21 during recess. Please bring your Chomebooks.
- Attention 6th-8th grades--The VFW is once again sponsoring the Patriot Pen essay contest for WMS students. The essay must be typed and between 300-400 words. This year's theme is "What A Veteran Taught Me About America." All essays are due October 15th. The first place winner will receive $100, second $75, and third $50. The 1st place winner will also receive the privilege of reading their essay during the Veterans Day Assembly. See your ELA teacher for more details.
- Wesclin Middle School will host a Scholastic Book Fair during the week of September 21-25. Students can shop the fair before school between 7:45-8:00 and during their lunch recess. Purchases can be made with cash, check (made payable to Wesclin), credit card, and eWallet. All purchases are also subject to a 6.25% sales tax. - Anyone interested in going to first priority now has to have a signed parent slip. Mr. Brandmeyer will have them in the gym for you to pick up after announcements.
