Re: Wesclin School District #3 Board of Education Vacancy
Wesclin School District #3 is accepting applications to fill the vacancy resulting from the resignation of Aaron Hoerchler. The appointment will be from June 2023 to April 2025.
Applicants for the Board vacancy must:
- Be a United States citizen
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a resident of Illinois and the District for at least one year immediately preceding the appointment.
- Be a registered voter.
- Not be a child sex offender.
- Not hold another incompatible public office.
- Not have a prohibited interest in any contract with the District.
- Not hold certain types of prohibited State or federal employment.
In addition, applicants should show a familiarity with the Board’s policies regarding general duties and responsibilities of a Board and a Board member. The Board’s policies are available on our website at www.wesclin.org.
If you are interested in being considered for the School Board, please submit a letter of interest and a resume to Lisa Bell, Board Secretary at 699 Wesclin Road (Wesclin High School) by 2:00pm, Friday, May 26. You can also email your resume at belll@wesclin.org. The Board will review the resumes in executive session and interviews will be set after the meeting. It is anticipated that the new member will be seated at the June 20 Board of Education meeting.
