Junior scholarship opportunity--The Better Business Bureau in our area is sponsoring a Student of Ethics Award Program for juniors who personify high ethics demonstrated through leadership, community service, overall personal integrity and academic history.  Students must write a 300 word essay on an ethical dilemma you faced and how you resolved it.  Applications are available at bbb.org/stlouis/student-of-ethics-awards.  The application deadline is May 31, 2019.

 

PROM TICKETS will be on sale Wednesday & Thurday, March 27-28 during both lunch periods outside Mrs. Schneidewind’s room. All students must be in good standing – all detentions served & all outstanding ID badges paid for before you will be allowed to purchase a ticket. Ticket cost is $50/person.

 

DATE REQUEST FORMS are available in the office. If you are planning to bring a date from another school or a Wesclin underclassman as your guest to prom you must have a completed date request form on file in the office PRIOR TO purchasing your ticket.

 

MARCH MADNESS BRACKET CHALLENGE:  Student Council is hosting a NCAA tournament bracket pool to raise money for the Sarcoma Foundation and gift cards for the Trimble family. Brackets are being sold for $3 for the first and $2 for each bracket after that. Brackets will be sold at lunch through Wednesday. There are big prizes given to the top five brackets. You can follow the leaderboard online, and the top five brackets will be displayed on the bulletin board. Completed brackets must be turned in to Mrs. Kunz, Nate Brede or Carson Wessel by 8:00 a.m. Thursday, March 21st. Keep in mind that you don’t need to know anything about basketball to participate!

 

SENIORS stop by the guidance office for new scholarship information if you did not get an update through google classroom.

JV Baseball at Carlyle 4:30 p.m. Departure time 3:05 p.m.

Varsity Softball at Pinckneyville 4:30 p.m. Bus time 2:20. Dismissal 2:10
