Bus Driver Requirements
- Have a good driving record
- Be at least 21 years old
- Pass an annual physical examination, including drug test - district pays fees associated
- Be cleared by a Federal fingerprinting and background check - district pays fees associated
- attend an eight-hour school bus safety course
- Complete in-house driver training program
- Demonstrate safe behind-the-wheel driving skills
- Obtain a commercial drivers license (CDL) - district provides training and fees associated
- Complete a two-hour bus safety refresher course annually - district provides training and fees associated
- Participate in random drug-testing - district pays fees associated
