Students Attend KC for Field Trip
Students visit career fair at Kaskaskia College

On Friday, November 30, the Wesclin High School junior class took a field trip to Kaskaskia College. They began the day with a presentation from Illinois Teacher of the Year, Lindsey Jensen. Next, students were split up into different groups based on careers they were interested in. Students learned more about their chosen careers by visiting various departments by talking to teachers. Afterwards, students gathered in a conference room to learn more about Kaskaskia College itself. To end the day, students were able to talk to multiple businesses and employees about their careers. “I thought it was fun to be able to talk to people who have experience in different fields,” said junior Isabel Wiggins.
