If you have a child who will be attending Kindergarten in the Wesclin School District for the 2021-2022 school year, please call your child's future school during the month of April to be put on our registration. The state requires that a child must be five years of age on or before September 1, 2021 to be eligible for kindergarten enrollment. After we compile the list in April, we will send out emails in May to schedule a time for guardians to come into school and register. Trenton residents should call Trenton Elementary at 618-224-9411. New Baden and New Memphis residents should call New Baden Elementary at 618-588-3535.
By mandate of the Illinois State Board of Education, the Board of Education of Wesclin CUSD # 3 is required to be able to prove that the students attending its schools are truly a resident of this school district. You will find residency requirements listed below. Please bring ALL documents with you to registration.
Category I (One document required)

Most recent property tax bill and proof of payment, e.g., cancelled check or Form 1098 (homeowners)

Mortgage papers (homeowner)

Signed and dated lease and proof of last month’s payment, e.g., canceled check or receipt (renters)

Letter from manager and proof of last month’s payment, e.g., canceled check or receipt (trailer park residents)

Letter of residence from landlord in lieu of lease.

Letter of residence to be used when the person seeking to enroll a student is living with a District resident.
Category II (Two documents showing proper adress are required)
- Driver’s license
- Vehicle registration
- Voter registration
- Most recent cable television and/or credit card bill
- Current public aid card
- Current homeowners/renters insurance policy and premium payment receipt
- Most recent gas, electric, and/or water bill
- Current library card (if it lists your name and address)
- Receipt for moving van rental
- Mail received at new residence
